Final preparations are underway for the 13th Biograd Boat Show, that will be open from 20th to 23rd October, and we wish to inform you that this year's show organizers expect to be bigger and better than ever, making it the largest exhibition of boats in Croatia and the Eastern Adriatic with more than 200 exhibitors. This year there will also be a large number of new model premieres from 6m Fisherman boats to 50 ft motor yachts and a significant used boat exhibition with more than 80 vessels. The show is known for the special, intimate atmosphere of the lovely resort town of Biograd, and the impressive facilities which include Marina Kornati, hotels, restaurants and entertainment facilities. A pontoon bridge links the main marina with Marina Kornati West, offering a unique and attractive in-water exhibition. Of course Boatshed Croatia will be exhibiting and we invite you to visit our booth in the big tent in the west part of Marina Kornati.
We’re all very excited about the PSP Southampton Boat Show and the Boatshed stand at the show.
Come and meet the Boatshed.com team at this years PSP Southampton boat show.
It used to be said that the best time to buy a used boat was during autumn and winter, because boat owners once they decide to sell the expenses rack up for marina berths, yard fees and general maintenance. If you are looking to sell your boat, then try the team at ww.boatshedcroatia.com as they will give you and your boat the attention needed to sell it as swiftly as possible.
Finally we are leaving our home port and heading on south, towards Dalmatia. I hope that down there weather will be better and that we will spend several nice days on the sea. Todays weather looks more like early spring than middle of summer. Since we are planning most of the time cruising around Kvarner and Zadar area we will visit some marinas and ports and negotiate some potential listing requirements. This cruise should be a win-win situation because along with “business” obligations we are also planning to have lot of fun, swimming and tasting some good Mediterranean meal and wine. So if you have boat for sale in above mentioned area do not hesitate to contact us. If you spot a Boatshed flag on a mooring near you feel free to come for a chat and share a glass of wine!
Fiumanka Sailing Fair is now behind us. Weather was almost nice; wind conditions for regatta are surprisingly good in comparison with previous years. Sailing Fair was not so big in it first edition but it was well attended during all 4 days and has also good media coverage. This was specialised exhibition which includes sailing equipment suppliers and related services, sailmakers, sailing schools and of course Boatshed brokers. During our first public presentation in Rijeka we had several interesting visitors and conversations and we are expecting some new listings soon.

This week sees Boatshed.com pass the 400,000 registered customer mark.
I would like to say hello to my new colleagues Boatshed brokers, customers, and all other boat lovers. Some of you already know that I am recently finished my training in Boatshed HQ and spent few wonderful days in Portsmouth. Now I am ready to start Boatshed Croatia office and to introduce Boatshed brand in Croatia. Regarding that my first duty will be to perform necessary marketing activities and advertise Boatshed Croatia in national nautical magazines and boat shows. Of course I have also planned to be present in Croatian marinas and ports and on disposition to owners and customers as many and possible. Because of its attractiveness and good transport connections, in last several years Croatian Adriatic coast becomes one of most popular cruising areas in Europe so I expect that it will become also new homeport for many new boat owners from UK and other countries. They are welcomed, lot of quality boats here are expecting new crew!
And this was amply proven during a recent excursion to Cowes to watch the P1 Powerboat racing in the company of the guys from Boatshed Hamble, Boatshed Cowes and Boatshed Poole. Time and time again I realised that the reason the Boatshed business works is because each and every one of the team members care passionately about the boats they are selling, the customers they have and the accuracy, attention to detail and all round service that they deliver. But I'm getting ahead of myself just slightly....
The RNLI launches more than 20 lifeboats a day and as Boatshed is part of the RNLI Ambassador scheme, we thought you might like to keep up to date with what's happening around our coastline.
Boatshed Barcelona has on its books a really classic boat (Classic Ocean Cruiser) and the owner had been gently hinting that she wanted us to go out on the open water together so I could see her in all her glory (the boat that is, rather than the owner!)
Boatshed has today announced the first of their Preferred Partners – drum roll please……..Made to Measure Fenders.
Do you ever wonder how your pride and joy gets moved round the world when you pay a shipping company to move it?
By any means possible, make an appointment to see your local Boatshed this weekend. He did.......
Boatshed Cowes, the centre of world sailing has landed, and is being run by the highly-trained, efficient and frankly quite regimental Frank Gelder (but in the nicest possible way).
The Boatshed team were in Birmingham this week and no mission to the Midlands would be complete with a walk along the towpaths of the famous canals in this part of the world.
Boatshed.com this week were at the UK Seawork Exhibition at the Port of Southampton. The traditional Fizz at Five was served every day and Boatshed members from Poole, Hamble, Falmouth, Chichester and HQ in Gosport were on stand to spread the Boatshed message.
So the 9-5 weekdays drag is taking its toll? Looking for a challenge, a lifestyle change?
28/05/2007, 1340 hours Plymouth Sound: sunshine, stiff breeze, sails up, flags flying, Horns ready (the noisy ones), helicopters overhead, bacon and kettle on, engine off heading out to Penlee point ready to greet perhaps one of the most famous and infamous boats of our time on her homecoming from her 2nd circumnavigation.
